Today's Knit Outfit
Today's knit outfit was exciting for me because I wore a t-shirt that I knit years ago and never wore because I thought it didn't look good. I don't know what changed exactly but I suddenly think it's not just wearable but flipping awesome! Check out my Instagram video about it here.
This is Jane Richmond's Gemini tee in Hemp For Knitting's 100% hemp, DK weight yarn in Emerald. This was the second time I knit this awesome (and free!) pattern and I still think I knit this one a size too big since, as you can see in the video the shoulders want to slide down. Ideally the plan was to frog and reknit it in a smaller size. I had run out of yarn and wished it could have been longer so reducing the width slightly would have offered some more yardage for length. That didn't happen and I seem to have gained some patience on the adjusting-the-shoulder front so I'm going to wear the heck out of it this summer. One of the many awesome things about hemp is that the more you wear and wash it the lovelier and drapier the fabric becomes. Should I post a end-of-summer Hemp Gemini update and share how the fabric has changed?
